Have You Left A Trail For Your Website Visitors

What did Hansel and Gretel do to ensure they could find their way back home? They left a trail of bread crumbs! Have you left a trail of bread crumbs on your website? Do you need to? Find out in today’s‪#‎whatiswednesday‬

Just like in the story, breadcrumbs offer visitors a way to trace their path back to where they came from on a website. You have seen them before, they are a trail of links toward the stop of the page that look like this:

Home >> Products >> Shirts >> Red Shirts >> My Awesome Red Shirt

It’s a great technique that offers better usability, which is going to lead to more sales. So make sure if your site has a lot of pages, that your web developer has programmed breadcrumbs at the top of the site.

Now if we can just figure out how to incorporate the witch’s gingerbread house into our website designs, think of how many visitors we’d lure in to take a nibble!
