Social Media – How to Properly Harness Online Networking to Generate Leads for Your Business

Depending on who you ask, social media is either a dead-end for B2B lead generation or a fruit ripe for the picking. Can you really generate leads for your business via social media, or is it a waste of your valuable time? B2B lead generation via social media is a bit of a hot topic – some people swear by it, others say it’s totally useless. But there are specific approaches to social media that make it, not only viable for B2B, but essential. Using social media to generate leads for your business is not impossible. Unfortunately, most B2B companies have either allowed their social media to flounder or simply ignored it altogether. Why do B2B marketing teams either love or hate social media? What’s the difference between the groups? To put it bluntly, one has succeeded at using social media for lead generation strategies, and the other hasn’t. Together, we’re going to work to put you in among the ranks of that first group. You can make social media work for you; you just have to come at it from the right angle. I’ll explain how to use your skills, learn from the experts, and think of social media as a “what” rather than a “how”. Read along, and you’ll be using social media to generate leads for your business in no time. Your Skills Play a Part in Social Media B2B Lead Generation Success To succeed at social media, you have to know how to use it. That might sound like a logical conclusion, but even the best of us start new ventures without a clue. Many business owners have a cursory knowledge of social media, and it’s that inexperience that leads to a lack of forward movement. To generate leads for your business, you have to anticipate what your audience will want from you and supply it. Practice on a no-stress account that’s designed purely for peer-to-peer connection. If you’re uncomfortable with that, focus on studying other B2B social media accounts, and even B2C pages. Notice what sort of posts catch your eye, which intrigue you, and which ones you completely gloss over. The devil is in the details with social media and lead generation strategies! We’ll discuss more about who to study and how later on – but, for now, keep it on your plate. In order to generate leads for your business via social media, you’ll need to figure out what it is that your audience wants from you. You’ve likely assessed these aspects previously, so use that knowledge: highlight that which can be supplied via social media to further B2B lead generation. Your goal with social media can’t only be to generate leads for your business – you have to offer content your audience wants. Infuse worth into your posts, and you’ll be gold. For Lead Generation Strategies, Look to the Experts Let’s get into more social media success stories, and looking at real life examples that yield lead generation strategies. There are a handful of brands on sites like Facebook and Twitter that have garnered quite a following. These companies don’t approach things the way you would for B2B lead generation, but there’s still plenty to learn from them. Have you ever seen how Arby’s handles their social media? How about Dove?...

Mastering Online Marketing- Ty Crandall Interviews Lindsey Anderson

Welcome to the business, credit and financing show at creditsuite.com. In this show, I was interviewed by Ty Crandall. The reason why I’m not a billionaire yet always comes to having to turn away people. I have been an entrepreneur my whole life. Ever since I was a kid I used to run the babysitters club. I graduated from college and got a government job in a nuclear waste facility. It was super boring so I became an entrepreneur on the side for over 10 years in the web developing industry. Well, with time, I asked myself what people really needed. I figured out that they needed traffic first then leads. In fact, they wanted these more than they needed the websites. Many people out there think that all it takes for online marketing is having a website. But this is wrong as having a website doesn’t automatically guarantee that people will see it. Mastering online marketing is needed. You have to employ techniques to drive traffic to your website. For example, having an opt-in. Make sure you have a high quality opt-in. It will attract leads from which you will create an email sequence. These things take time. Your landing page, your Facebook page and what not, all these take time to perfect. When writing emails, give them a personal touch. Refrain from being too formal or corporate. Another essential aspect of websites is videos. People are attracted to videos. You don’t even have to use a high-quality camera, you can simply use your smartphone. Another paid method you can leverage on is Google ad words. It’s a form of pay per click utility. It can be complicated at times, but if done correctly, it could boost your traffic and leads immensely. You can get non-paid leads from LinkedIn. Well, mastering online marketing is imperative for the success of your business. Your message has to be heard out there. Listen in to my interview with Ty Crandall on mastering online marketing...

Learn How to Get Traffic to Your Blog with the Help of Marketing Personas

Every business wants more visitors to their blog, whether you’re a big-name company or just starting out on your business journey. Finding out how to get traffic to your blog naturally is one of the biggest challenges you’ll face. Your content may be solid, but often you’ll find that the “build it and they will come” adage isn’t panning out. It turns out that, in order to attract the “they” in “they will come”, you first have to define who “they” are. This can be done with a little thing called “marketing personas”. Who are you hoping will read your content? What do you really know about them? Has your knowledge of your audience shaped how to get traffic to your blog? I know what you’re thinking – “One-Click Lindsey, I know my readers. Will making these persona things really help, or will I just be wasting time?” I’m sure everyone who’s heard of marketing personas has thought the same thing at least once. Don’t worry – the time you put into crafting these marketing personas will pay dividends. You want to learn how to get traffic to your blog, while keeping it simple and natural? Marketing personas are the way to go. Let’s walk through how you can start to making your own. What Are Marketing Personas? First things first: marketing personas (also known as “buyer personas” or “marketing avatars”) are outlines of fictional characters that make up your intended audience. Think of marketing personas as crafting an imaginary friend, only in this case they’re an imaginary reader! As content creators, we often tend to default to talking about the subjects we know and care about the most. This means we may end up with content focused on what WE want, instead of what our readers want. Crafting targeted content based on what your specific readers want will help you learn how to get traffic to your blog. There’s one key aspect to buyer personas: make sure you can empathize with them. You want to be able to step into the shoes of your reader with ease. Empathy will be made easier by adding specific (and accurate) details to each profile. Don’t stop at just one – in order to be effective, you’ll want a handful of different, varied buyer personas. After all, you’ll likely want to draw more than just one type of person to your blog! Be ready to imagine at least 3-4 different marketing personas to get you started, as each will help you learn how to get traffic to your blog. Related Post: Discover How to Grow Your Blog Craft a Buyer Persona Template Two words: be specific. Give your persona a realistic name, an age (not an age range), a gender that they identify with (if any), and a job title. What are some of the most important aspects in their life? What sort of roles/hobbies/activities do they consider to be an identifying part of themselves? What would be a list of their daily goals? Make sure that the fine details of each avatar are completely different from the others. The most useful element of these buyer personas is their differences. Marketing personas are there to help you broaden the scope of your content, while also being very specific about your readers needs....

What Works For Email Opt-Ins Today?

What Works For Email Opt-Ins Today?

Is your business losing momentum? Has growth come to a grinding halt? Are you ready to get your business back on track? Are you stuck in a dead-end job? Then you’re in the right place. Get the resources, the strategies and directions to accelerate your business growth, income and success, here in this episode of Boss Academy Radio. In this show, I shared with Paul Kirch, on what works for email opt-ins today. Arguably, video email opt-ins were the best thing that was giving businesses positive results in marketing. This was true, especially on Facebook. But now, they’re not working so much. The thing that’s really hot right now is the good old free pdf downloads which are providing one of the best cost conversion rates. One of the best ways to get leads for your business is to go to Facebook, create an ad for a free email opt-in, run that ad to a very targeted audience, get people to go a landing page, then have them to email opt-in for your free offer. You then send them an email sequence of about 10-12 emails basically getting to know you and also selling your services. Give them a lot of information and don’t just sell stuff. Eventually, they will become your clients. Besides Facebook, LinkedIn can also provide a lot of luck utilizing LinkedIn groups. LinkedIn posts have a very strong presence on search engines. Regardless of the cost of the product that you’re selling, it’s advised that you give some sort of free email opt-in to catch the traffic that’s not going to call you; which is the vast majority. Instead of spending a lot on getting likes on your Facebook page, focus on feeding them with a lot of amazing content. Eventually, create an ad for an email opt-in offer for everybody that has interacted with your Facebook page for a specified number of days. Make sure that you utilize Facebook Live, people actually like them. Go live and be prepared with some nice content. Consistency is key in everything you do especially in the online marketing sphere. It’s what builds your credibility online. To get more insight on what works for email opt-ins today listen in to my interview with Paul Kirch of Boss Academy Radio. Click here to listen to this...

Inspiring Greatness – Shelly Rogers with One-click Lindsey

Everyone loves to hear how an entrepreneur endures. This what the Inspiring greatness podcast is all about. I always believe that you are the sum of the five people you surround yourself with. I will share how you can leverage on landing pages and business process outsourcing for companies, how you can get more leads. I shared with Shelly Rogers on her Inspiring Greatness podcast on my personal experience. During my ten years of running businesses, I have helped many small businesses reach their potential. I am a mother of three and I’ve worked in the online marketing industry for over a decade. My husband is a hardcore programmer. He creates custom programs and apps while I manage lead generation capture pages. We work hand in hand. I Am A Big Fan of UpWork I am a very big fan of Upwork, I have a fair number of overseas contractors. I outsource WordPress developers and Search Engine Optimization People. I would work hand in hand with someone who is eligible in SEO. I normally go up to Upwork and look at the number of hours the people have put in work. I have a special preference for people who are in the United States since I am also in the United States. I require a person to always follow instructions and that’s how I sieve those who are serious and those who are not. I normally pick out three contractors and see who of the three will emerge the best. Upwork has a good system of checking on accountability. I used to work as a government contractor way back before I started out on web development. It was a struggle initially as everyone was apparently a web developer back then. It was just not the right time for us as a business. We had a fully-fledged office with employees but then we saw it fit to phase them out in order to increase efficiency. Most of them worked from home. The lesson from this is that it showed me how to reduce overhead and costs of operations. My business was about 7 years old when this change came. The changes came with a lot of freedom and less stress for me and my family. If you want more insight into what I discussed with Shelly Rogers tune into the podcast episode. I truly hope it will inspire you to...

How Google Autofill Can Help You Target Your Content

How Google Autofill Can Help You Target Your Content

Anyone who runs a consistent blog knows that it can be tough to come up with topics regularly. Sure, you can go into your Webmaster Tools and check out the top queries as a source of inspiration, but those keywords aren’t long tail and tend to be general more often than not. That saddles you with the task of turning that general topic into a niche one, which can be just another source of frustration for some. But good news—all hope is not lost. There’s a free and easy solution to help you generate topics or focus the ideas that you already have: Google’s autofill. The Power of Google Autofill If you spend a lot of time online like me, especially when working in SEO, you know that when you type something into Google’s search bar, Google will automatically populate the most popular searches that other people are typing in. Usually this results in something that will make you giggle, but for us content creators, autofill is an invaluable tool. Let’s start with an example: pretend you’re in the real estate investment business, and the only keywords your Webmaster Tools is giving you are super basic like “real estate investors” or “how to be a real estate investor”. Not only would it be difficult to write a blog post on that topic as it is, it’s extremely general. Others have written about it hundreds of thousands of times before; it’ll be nearly impossible for your blog post to rank well in comparison. Google’s autofill can help. Take your basic keyword, plug it in, and see what comes up. Lots of stuff pops up, but nothing that really strikes me as a great topic for a blog article. Let’s try our other keyword. There we go. Now we’re getting somewhere. “How To Become a Real Estate Investor With No Money or Credit” sounds like a pretty darn good title for a blog post, doesn’t it? And all it took was a couple of keywords pulled from Webmaster Tools and a couple of Google searches. But Wait—There’s More! What if both of our keywords had yielded no results? There are absolutely way to go deeper and get the most you can possibly get from Google autofill. All you’ve got to do is cycle through the alphabet after your keyword to see what else you can get to pop up. Taking our “real estate investor” keyword as an example, all I’d do is type “real estate investor a” into Google and let autofill do the rest. After going through the first few letters of the alphabet, I’ve come upon an interesting keyword: “real estate investor elevator pitch”. Still not sure how to turn that into a topic, however, but it interests me. There is still a way for us to chase this topic, and it’s extremely simple: search it. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Google results, and you’ll find even more options under related searches. Some of you reading this might be thinking, “Well, Lindsey, that’s obvious! I do this already!” And if you do this, great! I am really happy to hear that. It’s good to know that people are already taking advantage of this awesome little trick. However, I know there are a lot more...
